Production of Pretty Heart,
a Moral Education Film

In 2017, HKS Education Fund funded Baptist University Foundation to produce Pretty Heart, a film aiming to draw the attention of the society on moral education, also to encourage the younger generation facing public examinations not to give up.
The filming of Pretty Heart started in August 2020, starring Ms Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Mr Vincent Wong Ho Shun, Mr Hugo Ng Toi Yung, and Ms Astrid Chan Chi Ching. It was premiered at Broadway PREMIERE ELEMENTS, Hong Kong on 19 July 2022, prior to the general release on 28 July 2022.
Pretty Heart focused on the growth of present-day teenagers through Hong Kong’s hot topic of education, reflecting the daily challenges between teachers and students’ relationship between a private tutor and a schoolteacher, as well as a strained relationship between a father and his daughter. Using the theme: “Suffering from each other but living together”, the protagonists illustrated in the film the encounters experienced in daily life, falling and standing again, supporting one another, bringing warmth and sending positive sentiments to the audience.
